04/25/04 10:43 PM: A Brief Synopsis
It has indeed been a while since I have updated this site. I assure you, it’s not for the lack of events going on in my life, rather it is due to that fact.
This weekend was the elections for The Georgetown Voice. I ran for the position of Managing Editor, and unfortunately I lost. However, I lost to a really great guy who is going to do an excellent job, so I am not bitter. Instead, I was elected as Senior Writer and I will be a columnist in the Voices/Commentary section. Overall I am pleased with the outcome.
On the personal front, I again find myself single. I don’t regret the 8 months I spent with a very lovely girl, but I am ready to move on. It’s been a hard few weeks since she broke up with me… but it’s okay. I feel I’ve grown as a person, but emotionally and spiritually, which is good.
This brings up another point, I’ve become much more spiritual and relgious this year. I’ve been attending church services and talking with the Protestant chaplain more. It has really helped me deal with things, and tonight I even did a Gospel reading for the 8:30 PM service. It was fun.
I’ve reconnected with some of my Georgetown friends, and have been having a good time. I even ran through Dahlgren fountain last week after the Voice’s final production night with the Spring ‘04 staff. Good times. I’m kind of sad to come home for the summer, as I will miss everyone here. But, next year I am living with J.P. (my roommate from freshman year) and it’s going to be great.
Chris said he would update soon, and he had better!
