So, last night I was talking to this kid in my residence hall, and he asked me why on earth would I want to work in radio. He’s like, “First off, it’s dying, and second, any sort of popularity for radio is going to internet broadcasting.” Well, being the kind spirited gentle creature that I am, I told him that my focus is NPR, and if he were to look at the yearly internship stats for NPR, he would see a steady increase in the number of listeners.
