11/25/02 05:55 PM: A Waste of Two Days
So I have two days until my Thanksgiving Break. I ask myself why we have these two days here. What are we going to accomplish? Everyone is just going to get drunk tonight and skip class to leave early tomorrow. I do not think I am going to partake in the festivities, because I have two peer reviews for World Lit, and I need to finish a paper that I have been putting off for a good three weeks. I also want to play soccer. So I’ll probably start doing all the work at 12. And I have an 8 am class tomorrow that I can’t ditch because I ditched it last week. Great…
I’m excited to go home though. More of my friends will be home, and there isn’t enough time to do any jobs around the house. The only problem is that I will be with my parents, so that means that I can’t walk in drunk at 3 am. Oh well. I’ll get real food. Maybe its worth it. I’ve actually been cutting back on the alcohol anyway. I haven’t gotten trashed in two weeks. I guess its healthy, but its not as fun. The marginal benefits of getting drunk outweigh the marginal costs, so I need to fix that little trend soon.
Now the only thing I need to figure out is how to get to the airport. Everyone with a car is leaving after their last class. I need to get to Eppley at 9:30. Then I need to find someone that will be here on sunday early to pick me up. I’ll figure that out later though. Right now I have papers to finish. Next time I update will be from the comfort of my own home.
