10/02/04 12:33 PM: Sorry

Sorry its been so long, but it took me a month to get the internet in my room because I had to find a cable long enough to run from the basement to my room. I think we need to work on our networking skills in this house, but everyone’s internet works, so I’m not going to touch it. Just as I got the internet, I got swamped with work. 10 page paper plus a 25 minute presentation on 3 books took up every free minute I had. Thanks to amazon.com though, I got a break on the presentation. You see, I had to buy a book that was out of print, and they did not get it to me on time. They are lucky that they don’t have a customer service line, else I would have ripped some poor guy a new one. My professor took pity on me and let me go a week later. The book, The Fate of the Earth by Jonathon Schell, is actually an interesting book about what would happen in a nuclear holocaust. I would urge people to read it if your local library has it. It was written in the early 80’s but still is very pertinent to todays issues of national security.

Some of my other classes are pretty easy in comparison. Example: We learned about slope last Friday in Applied Calculus. Yes, slope, the same you learn about in freshman geometry or junior high algebra. I can’t beleive my tuition was just raised so that I can take this class.

In other news, I want to be He-Man for halloween. I guess I should start working out so that I don’t scare off the children. In fact, I think thats where I will go right now. Oh yeah, almost forgot. If you haven’t seen Napoleon Dynamite, flog yourself. One of the funniest movies I’ve seen this year.

Hopefully it won’t be another month before I update again. Sorry for taking so long.
