06/12/03 04:47 PM: Coming up on 1000

Well, we are coming up on the 1000th post here at whichwayup.org. Only four more to go. We’ve been going moderately strong since 2001, with a few lapses here and there for a few days, but generally I’ve tried to keep the site updated. I think I’ve done a decent job. wwu now has a average daily readership of somewhere around 120-150, which isn’t bad considering the randomness of the content here.

So what are my goals for the site in the future? Well, for one, I think I want to give the photolog a try again. I’m hoping to find some sort of easy way to integrate iPhoto and some sort of server-side application to make it easy. I let the old one lapse mainly out of sheer laziness. The whole manually resizing, uploading, then creating entries and such got to be fairly annoying when I wanted to add more than one or two photos. We shall see.

I would also like to redesign the site. I think I will keep it fixed-width (which means it doesn’t fill your entire browser window), but I want to add more color. I’ll probably keep the small fonts and such as I like that, and as far as other featues go I don’t really know yet. I don’t think I have a need for anything too fancy or complex. It’s always been my feeling simple is good.

After recieving an certain email, I went back and listened to Radiohead’s Pablo Honey last night. I had gasp forgotten about some of these tracks. I mean, everyone’s heard Creep or Lurgee, but I hadn’t heard “Thinking About You” for a very long time, good stuff.
