As I’m sure most of you know, ‘Deep Throat,’ the individual who leaked info about the Watergate Scandal to the Washington Post has been identified.
Former FBI Associate Director Mark Felt came forward by admitting that he providing Bob Woodward and Carl Bernstein of the Washington Post the secret
information that would eventually result in President Nixon’s resignation.
A couple of years ago, a journalism class at the University of Illinois investigated the matter, and came to the conclusion that ‘Deep Throat’ was none
other than Fred Fisher Fielding, who was the deputy to former White House counsel John Dean during the Nixon administration. Despite their incorrect
prediction about Fielding, the University of Illinois was apparantly the only school to study the case at hand.
