Down with ruining the Mall. Seriously, that is one of the stupidest ideas I’ve heard in a while. It is quite a breathtaking view down there, to stand at the foot of the Lincoln Memorial and look across the Reflecting Pool toward the Washington Monument. I imagine it’s got nothing on the view from the top of Mt. Everest, but it still ain’t half bad. Oh well, it’s all said and done. Time to get started on the Ronald Reagan Memorial now.
