08/10/02 09:21 PM: Downtime and Updates
As you may have noticed the site was down for the majority of the day. This would be due to our lovely hosting provider, Aletia Hosting. I don’t know what the deal was with the over 8 hours of downtime, but let’s just say I’m not exactly a happy camper. It’s a pain to have downtime when I’m trying to redesign the site.
Anyhow, you can notice I have added some links to the right hand side. This will, I’m sure, change on a regular basis as I decide what to have on the right content panel.
I have updated somewhat the writing pages to mesh more with the design. The site info / people / about page needs badly to be updated but I’m not going to do that tonight.
The photolog is working, though I don’t have anything to add to it really, other than the random images I added to test. Look for more once I get to Georgetown or if I go anywhere interesting before then.
Eventually yes you will have archives of the photos, but I haven’t figured out how I want to do that yet.
Each minute I think about the way the site is currently coded and I want to scream, but that’s ok. It all seems to work for now, even if it is an ugly mess of code on the backend.
That’s all for now.
