07/21/02 10:12 PM: downtown

It has been a rather strange week for me. I have a nintendo 64, playstation, and super nintendo, but I have not really played much of any of them in years. But my friend Perry and I started playing The Legend of Zelda, Ocarina of Time on Monday or Tuesday, and it has become engrossing, which is funny because neither of us are video game people. At least not anymore. Anyway, every day since has consisted of Perry coming over around noon and us playing Zelda until six or so. Every night we have ended up hanging out downtown with large groups of people (another thing we never do) doing such things as playing stickball and tennis (both with an excessively large rubber ball, and both in the middle of the street), climbing trees, and bum fishing. For those of you not familiar with bum fishing, think dollar bills instead of worms.

Tomorrow we are most likely going to New York City. We haven’t figured out exactly what we’re going to do once we get there, but it should be worthwhile. Friday and Saturday I will be attending the Milwaukee Metalfest. Then I am possibly going to Ocean City, Maryland August 4-10. Hooray for doing stuff.
