Dreary Weather.
It’s wonderful to wake up at 6:00 AM to a nice, grey, rainy frozen windy horrible day. Anyway, that is beside the point. I attended the Regional Competition for Science Olympiad. I did fairly well, getting 4th place for Qualitative Analysis, and 2nd place for, of all things, Using the Web. Chemistry Lab was a disaster. There was no lab, instead it was 50 question written test. 50 questions in 50 minutes, only about 20 of them were multipule choice. It was impossible, much harder than last year’s AP Chemistry exam.
Ok, so in other news, on Friday I was debating with the local Socialist and a Republican substitute teacher. Plus there was a Libertarian. It was pretty interesting. Basically, it turned in the Libertarian and the Socialist arguing, with me and the Republican arguing as well. It focused mainly on property rights, and taxes. I think I might write a piece soon on why Capitalism is not evil. That might be hard, and I haven’t finished Atlas Shrugged yet. Well look for that plus a new writing on the Lincoln-Douglas debates, plus I might post my Metro History Fair essay. I’m out for now.
