09/09/02 08:37 PM: Go College!

Woo. I have some time to update. Go me. Though this may end up shorter than I would like it to be. We will now move along to the summary of the weekend.

Friday: Well, I went over with some friends to Village C West (The other wing of where I live), where basically the entire floor we went to was one big “party.” Lets just say that 15 people in a room the size of mine (192 sq ft. including Bathroom) isn’t exactly the best venue for a bunch of drunk people with music blasting. So, deciding that was lame I left, and eventually through a somewhat funny series of events ended up watching Moulin Rouge with these girls from my floor. This was mainly due to the fact I didn’t want to go back to my room, for reasons that will stay off-the-record for now (No, not because of what you are thinking, well sort of but not really).

This brings us to Saturday. Studying, and then dinner at this French Restaurant on M Street. We went out (six of us) because it was the birthday of one of our friends. She wanted to go to Bistro Francais, so we did. Let’s just say we won’t be going back. It was run by rude Chinese people, and the food wasn’t that great. I had two pieces of grilled chicken and french fries for $19, and with the iced tea that brought the total up to around $23. While you may say, “Sir that is cheap for a French Restaurant,” I say, “Sir, the place sucked.”

Sunday, I wrote a paper. That’s basically all I did on Sunday. Nothing fun. Worked on various things. Basically the same as what I did today.

Wednesday is the one year mark since the attacks, things here in Washington are starting to go crazy. They have installed Surface to Air Missles, so says CNN, and there are rumours of terror threats (Aren’t there always?). Personally, I’m not worried. I haven’t decided if I’m going to attend any of the events planned. It’s a “de-facto religious holiday” which means a basically liberal attendance policy (for classes that take attendance), so I will see.

That’s all for now, more tomorrow hopefully, along with an updated profile of myself for the About page.
