07/15/01 10:09 PM: Going to Washington

Good evening, ladies and gentlemen, distinguished guests, members of Congress, my fellow Americans.

In a little over 36 hours, updates by me to this website will cease for approximately twelve days. During that time, Kevin will continue to update, and I may or may not have a few “guests” make occasional updates. Please not the presence of such guests is still “in the works,” and I do not as of now know who they will be. Twelve days can seem like an eternity for some during the summer. Especially those who do nothing more than sit at their computers all day. However, I will be going twelve days with no internet in our Nation’s Capitol. It should be fun, so, yeah, that’s about all I have to say about that.

I bought some new headphones today. Yeah, they were rather pricey. I am going to take them with me to Washington, in hopes to drown out any sorts of noises made by a pesky roommate, if said roommate turns out to be pesky. The headphones are Sennheiser EH2200 Studio Headphones, for those of you who like to know what headphones I have…

I will be bringing with me, lots and lots of CDs that I will be burning over the next few days. I will be bringing my MP3-CD discman, so that should equal plenty of music. Reading material? Yes. I plan on bringing many assorted books, mainly for the long train trip. However, I don’t know how much reading I will be doing on said train.

I watched the movie The Fountainhead yesterday. Good movie, I suggest you rent it, even if it is old and only in black and white. It is good! It demonstrates the morality of the egoist. I will explain more about that later, this post is long enough, even sans-philosophy discussion.

There will be more updates before I leave, including details about what I’ve been doing over the past few days.
