06/03/02 09:57 PM: Graduation

Wow, I haven’t written in a while. I haven’t written in any detail that is. I have had a few other things to tend to, such as Graduation and all. Graduation went well, I was glad they kept it short, about an hour. Although that did give our illustrious former class president time to make a total ass out of himself. I liken him to Dubya.

Follow graduation I went with family to a nice dinner. I found out that the place we ate at, is actually owned by the Hastert family. Yeah. So I was indirectly supporting the family that created J. Dennis Hastert, the Speaker of the House. Sort of kills the appetite.

Later that night, it was off to Hollywood Park, a local amusement facility for the school sponsored “Project Graduation.” I was a bit skeptical at first, expecting low turn out and high degrees of boredom. However, I was wrong. In fact, most of the evening was full of The Wacky Misadventures of Dave™, which would almost make a good episode of Seinfeld, if that show featured teenagers doing wacky George Costanza type things. Yeah.

I’m deciding how much detail to go into, based on two factors, the first being my sheer laziness and the fact that I don’t want to spend a lot of time typing. The second being, I don’t know how much of it I would feel comfortable discussing in such an open medium. I know that sounds quite stupid, as there are only about a total of three people in the world who read this who would even remotely know any of the people/places/things involved.

So, in that case, I will post more tomorrow. Let’s just say if you are keen enough to cross-reference posts, (such as the last one), I had the chance to spend some time with the said person in that post, and I think everything turned out pretty well. While there are people that I wish I had indeed gotten to know earlier, unfortunately as of today, there are no viable methods of time travel. So, I can only hope to end this chapter in life on a positive note, staying in touch with some, and letting go of others (read: most). The night ended on a good note, although I was extremely tired. Going to bed at 4 AM really does mess with your internal clock.

I have decided I will indeed post more about the wrapping up of everything, and the outlook for the summer, but that will come tomorrow because I need to go to sleep soon.
