06/10/03 06:09 PM: Hail to the Thief
Got the new Radiohead CD today. I’ve waited for this day for about two years now. It seems as though they are going back to thier old selves, rocking out like they did in their earlier stuff, but with some touches of Kid A and Amnesiac thrown in. Overall, I’d say that it is a pretty good album. I still hold Kid A as their best so far, but this one is pretty good. I’d recommend actually buying it instead of getting the bootleg version because I feel that this is one band that still produces quality music and should be supported.
I was supposed to go to Great America today, but the weather was supposed to be crappy so we called it off at the last minute. I say supposed to be, because the worst thing that happened was a little sprinkle here and there. Good weather for the US Open though. I mean, there wasn’t any sun, but it was not raining. Apparently, my uncle lives across the street from the house that Tiger Woods is staying for the week. He is on Tiger Watch, but so far hasn’t seen him. Speaking of golf, one of my good friends is trying to qualify for the LPGA tour right as week speak. She is in Florida for a tournament. I just wanted to send some luck her way. I have some other reasons why I hope she does so well. It would be cool to say that I dated a pro athlete. But anyway, good luck.
Dave informed me that people actually read this, so I should maybe try and keep up the site so that there aren’t months where I’m absent. I’ll probably try and update next weekend. I mean, on my next weekend, which is Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Do you know how hard it is to find drinking buddies for a Tuesday night?
UPDATE by dave @ 1:19 AM: Yeah, well you may have dated a pro-athlete, but I tell people that I dated an up-and-coming musician. Yeah.
