12/22/03 10:26 PM: Happy Holidays
Ah, I forgot how much I love Christmas. It just needs to hurry up and snow so we can have white Christmas here in Chicagoland.
I’ve been quite busy lately, I attended the opera (Faust at the Lyric Opera House) on Saturday with my lovely girlfriend, and then saw the Messiah on Saturday. The Messiah was great, except the venue (This new Arts center in Millennium Park) was quite… how should I say… industrial looking… It seemed more of a venue for Stomp or Blue Man Group than an orchestra and a chorus. Oh well, it was still a good time!
Sunday was also my birthday, and I am now twenty. The big 20. Though, other than the fact that I’m no longer a teenager, it is a fairly meaningless birthday. I’m still in the limbo of being trusted enough to vote, don the uniform of my country, drive a tank, launch a nuclear missile, etc… but I still can’t go to a bar. Not that I really want to buy lots of booze, but I’d enjoy going to a nice piano bar or some such with live jazz… oh well, only a year to go!
I’m going to be busy the next few days, but I would like to wish all my readers happy holidays, and feel free to post your holiday plans here or anything going on for Christmas and the like.

We should meet up sometime over break. Drop me an email or a call. My cell has changed, but my home phone is the same. Happy holidays!
