04/28/03 09:56 PM: Hell Week

You know its been a long time since you’ve updated when your sister is telling you to. It seems like I have been prefacing all my updates with something about being busy. This one is no exception. Last week was our hell week for SigEp, gearing up for Initiation last Friday. It was a great time, but I’m glad to be over with it. No more dinners or study halls.

It seems that the year is winding down. I have finals next week, and I get to move back home sometime Friday. This so called “dead week” is anything but. I have a paper to do tonight, and an in class essay for rhet and comp tomorrow. I just got my term paper for Theology back today. I am fairly disappointed because I was supposed to do it on a book that was supposed to be on reserve at the library. Unfortunatly, someone decided to take it from the library and not return it, so I didn’t have a book to work with. I did the best I could, and tried to explain to the prof, but there was little sympathy because I had all semester to do it. It is a shame, because I have worked pretty hard for what I was getting prior to the paper. Now I have to kick ass on the final in order to save my GPA. Sweet.

My mens IM soccer team is out of the playoffs. We played the defending champions and lost 4-2. I got taken out and flew about 10 feet before bouncing on the turf. I might have gotten a concussion, but I am not showing any of the signs. The thing that makes me think so is that I’m just a little out of it. I feel like something is amiss, though I am totally concious of what is happening. Its just what I need, a concussion right before finals. My CoRec team is playing tomorrow night. I think we have a really good chance to go to the finals and maybe win the whole thing. The only team that we had trouble with is out, and I wasn’t impressed with the team that beat them. The team we play tomorrow, we already beat 8-2. Who knows, maybe the Fifth Grade All-Stars can take it all. That would be pretty cool.

I should get to this paper, so I’m going to stop here. I just wanted people to know that I haven’t died or something. Until next time, I’m chris, and you have been reading whichwayup.org.

Really quick, who remembers Wild America? I was thinking about it today and I never really noticed when it went off the air. It was a quality show.
