12/17/01 08:04 PM: On health
Hello. I am still alive. I will be able to post more frequently. I started my first day at work today, you can go back in the history to find more about what I’m doing and I’ll post more about it in the future. But all I can say is, what a whirlwind! I hope tomorrow will be less hectic.
Anyway, I wanted to address some of dave’s posts. As someone who has a chronic medical condition (diabetes) for 7 years I have found varying degrees of understanding in people. Basically, I have found that telling people as much as they are willing to hear about what I have to do with this condition helps them further understand the special requirements that I have. But, there are just some people that are assholes. I have encountered many such people mainly in grades 6-12 (middle school to high school). I found that once at college, people seem to be more understanding of other people and the conditions that they have. I am really sorry to hear about what you now have to deal with dave, and assuredly it comes at the worst possible time. Hopefully in time you will find more understanding people. But for now, you have to keep in mind that there is one most important thing: your health. You have to get feeling better before you can take care of all your other obligations in due time. I realize that’s easy to say, but I am sure you’ll be able to catch up since your teachers seem to be accommodative.
Anyway, I am off to bed.
