07/17/01 04:50 PM: Introducing "Other" Dave
Hello! I’m Dave, hereby known as the “Other” Dave, and I will be guest updating frequently (rarely, if ever) during Dave’s absence. Of course, you already knew that because you diligently read (summarily ignore) everything that Dave has to say.
I just want to say that I look forward to posting fascinating (boring) information during this period in a series of well-written (inferior, lackluster) updates. By the time Dave returns, you will be emailing him to demand that he let me post frequently (demand that he remove my posting privileges as fast as possible).
And Dave, I just want you to be assured that I will not “h4×0r” your site at all (yeah right!). I look forward to being a productive contributor (waste of space) during your time away.
What would say if you could really speak your mind? Makes one wonder.
On a more serious note, I would like to congratulate Dave on his XHTML 1.0 Strict validation. I am all for open standards and the subsequent widespread adoption of those standards. And, just think of the bragging rights associated with designing a website that validates as XHTML 1.0 Strict. For the non geek readers, it’s about the equivalent of saying “My other car is a Ferrari.” Okay, maybe not, but pretty close!
Dave, have a wonderful time on your trip, we all look forward to your return. With that, I will leave you with sliced peanut butter, which is almost as useful as square watermelons.
