04/25/01 08:04 PM: Hello, world. So nice to

Hello, world. So nice to see you again. I had four-hour play practices Monday night and last night. And then again tomorrow, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Then I have actual performances. So I can’t promise a lot of updates during the next week and a half or so. I’ll see what I can do. Blah. I actually took a nap today.

My letter about Timothy McVeigh was in today’s paper. My mommy was proud. . . . I didn’t tell anyone about it. I guess I’ll find out who reads the paper tomorrow.

Hmm, what am I forgetting? Oh, yes, political satire. . . . How about that Supreme Court? Real nice folk. Thanks to them, you can now be searched, arrested, and jailed for failing to come to a full stop at a stop sign. I suppose that means the same goes for a broken taillight. As Justice O’Connor said, the police should not have “constitutional carte blanche” to make arrests without warrants for minor infractions that generally result only in a fine. I mean, come on. If someone runs a red light and then you find an uzi on the dashboard, that’s one thing. But what gives them the right to just arrest anyone as they please? Oh yeah, the Court. And one more thing. When was the last time there was a Supreme Court decision that wasn’t 5-4?
