I have lost some respect for Sec. of State Colin Powell today. He is continuing to support building a missle shield, and has now said that the U.S. would drop out of a treaty signed with Russia banning anti-missle systems, if they don’t agree on our terms. He has said “At some point, we will bump up against the limits of the ABM treaty, At that time, we will have to negotiate with the Russians, what modifications might be appropriate, and we have to hold out the possibility that it may be necessary to leave that treaty if it is no longer serving our purpose.” Thats a good message to send, quit a treaty if it isn’t working out for your interests anymore. Didn’t Hitler and the Nazi’s void a lot of treaties back when World War II started? More on this later I’m still at school, and I have to go to Physics..
