I have recieved some flap regarding my post a couple nights ago regarding socialism, and radical left-wing groups, et al. I want to straighten a few things out. I was meaning to say that you cannot just assume that someone who is left wing is a socialist. I the ideal world, and I really stress ideal, socialism would be great. However, since we are currently living in a very capitalistic society, we might as well try to reform that as best as we can. I don’t want to sound like a moderate conservative, because god knows I am not. I was just mainly responding to people who dismiss anyone who wants “Independent and free Media” or even people who want Consumer Rights as being a Marxist. People [I am talking very much in general here] “dismissed” Nader as a Socialist, for pretty much the same reasons. I want to help make the world a better place for everyone, and if I truly believed Free Trade would do that without all of the negatives that it has now, I would most likely support it. I’m not just going to dismiss an idea solely on what side of the political spectrum it falls. I hope people can understand what I am trying to say here, and I certainly don’t want to make any enemies. Send me an email if you want to discuss this more in depth..
