08/07/01 01:37 PM: Screenshots
I was bored this morning, so I decided to take a screenshot of my desktop. Yeah, you can now see my desktop. I am sure everyone was dying to know what my desktop looks like… Or not. The backdrop in that screenshot is one of the pictures I took while in DC. I scanned (with the new scanner), and thought it looked awesome. These USB scanners are so cool, as compared to my crappy SCSI scanner from the days long ago. It was a UMAX SCSI scanner, but you see, it had this tendency to make my computer not work. It had some conflict with my sound card. Yeah, I’m just as confused about that as you are. Point of the story is, USB is much better.
For those of you who are fans of Linux, I installed Mandrake 8.0 on one of my older computers. I am currently also downloading Red Hat 7.1, and I think I will replace the Mandrake install with that. I decided that while the Gnome+Nautlius looks pretty, I don’t really need a graphical workstation, I just need a box to run DNS.
Ok, so now that I have sufficiently scared away the non-linux fans…
Where has Kevin been lately? That has been the burning question around here, I know that for sure.
What does everyone think about human cloning? I watched part of the Mitch Albom show on MSNBC today, where they were discussing the whole clone issue. I’m not quite sure where I stand on this. It’s quite a conundrum. Let me know, what you think about it. Some say that it is a “right” to make a clone of themselves, others strongly disagree. Some are in the middle. Where do you stand?
I’m going to burn a few CDs now, have a nice day.
