I was over at Space.com and I somehow found a link to info about the Brookhaven National Laboratory. It brought to mind a story from a few months ago, about how Brookhaven’s Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider could destroy the earth, or even the whole universe. For anyone who hasn’t seen the article, check out this one at ABCNews.com.

I’m not sure why I’m posting about this, I guess I find it sort of disturbing. The part about Carl Sagan’s hypothesis rings espeically eerie.
