In psychology today, we were going to watch a movie. So, the teacher goes to put the video in, and nothing happens. No signal. So, we sit for a few moments while she goes through the standard “press various buttons” procedure, to no avail. Now, in this class are a few other people who take broadcasting with me. So they of course have to speak up, “I’ll bet Dave could fix it!” “Yeah! Come On Dave! Try to fix it!” I gave into the peer pressure and got up, “I guess I can look at it!” I walk up to the television. It turned out that the VCR was not plugged into the television. Anyway, I quickly diagnosed the problem and fixed it. Yep, I suppose I am now a fully qualified AV dweeb? The class applauded and I returned to my seat.
