I know I have been a little lax in updating, but I’m just getting back into the swing of college. So after telling Dave last night that I was too drunk to update, I decided to do it this morning because I can’t find my glasses and my eyes burn when I put my contacts in. I guess I’m going to stay here for a little bit longer because I can’t see.
Something I missed over the summer was the knowledge that I can do whatever I want, when I want. Problem is that I have a lot more stuff going on now than I didn last year. When you walk into your PoliSci class and the Dr. describes it affectionately as “Boot Camp,” you know you have a little reading and writing ahead of you. Also, I’ve been looking at interships all over the country for next summer. Right now I’m looking at three cities. In Omaha, I could live at the house and work at Mutual of Omaha or for one of the senators here. I could go back home to Chicago and work for a law firm. Or I could go to DC and try to get one on the hill. For a PoliSci student, that would be Mecca. I do have to get these things lined up now though, because they tend to fill up fast. I’d also have to figure out where I would live. That’s it for now, and I promise to try and be a little more consistant on the whole updating thing. Sorry about that folks.
