It’s a beautiful day, sort of
I mean, it’s cold, dark, windy, and snowing. It’s been that way since I woke up this morning. I didn’t actually go outside, but I assume that I wasn’t missing out on much. But U2 tells me it’s a beautiful day. I’m not big on U2, but that’s such a catchy song. You cannot listen to that song and not feel good about yourself or life or whatever, if only for a second. “It’s a beautiful day / Don’t let it get away” Simple words, yet so meaningful. Maybe you get dumped on 364 days out of the year. But when that beautiful day comes along, live it up. Live it like that’s the only day that ever was or ever will be.
It was a beautiful day in Maine, so I hear. Here’s what my good friend Keri had to say (hopefully she doesn’t mind me using this): The sun is so bright and shining over every crevice of earth. There’s not a cloud in the sky. Its the kind of sun that you step in to and your body is instantly warm. The snow is melting, and the little streams of water trickle down the street. The yard is glistening where the sunlight reflects off the water. The white birch trees stick out so much in the woods. The sky is the perfect shade of blue, perfect for a baby’s room. Its summertime in the winter, thats what it is. Its beautiful.
I am certain that if the snow could hear that, it would reconsider. The snow would stop, the wind would cease, the sun would come out and warm everything up. Yes, at 1:00 AM the sun would come out.
I got my pictures from Washington developed. You can see them here. I am not a photographer.
