FINALS week is over now, but I still have two to take. Oh well, those come next week. A few days to relax will be good.
I was looking through my MP3 collection, and I found the very first one I ever downloaded. It was Smash Mouth’s breakout hit, Walkin’ on the Sun. Yeah, that was a while ago. In fact, by looking at the file’s properties, I found that I had downloaded it on Tuesday, August 18, 1998, at 3:06:32 PM. Sounds about right. I actually remember that day. [As you can see, I’m digressing into geek memory mode]. For a while I had been downloading MIDI files, and then I discovered MP3. In 1998 it was by no means mainstream yet, and it was amazing to be able to download a file that sounded CD Quality. Anyway, I guess you had to be there.
Check out the latest post over at Paul’s site, I pretty much agree with everything he says. Especially about the Ground Zero firefighter statue. That is political correctness gone too far.
