Something that has been bothering me all weekend. I saw Gangs of NEw York on Friday. Not a bad movie, except for the part where no one seems to notice that the main bad dude can’t possibly have been born. Lets think about this for a second. The main part of the movie takes place in the summer of 1863. At this time, we are told that his age is 47, which means he was born in 1816, or late 1815. He also said that his Dad was killed in April of 1814. This would mean, that at the latest, he would have been born in January or February of 1815, making him 48 at the time of the movie, unless he stay in his moms womb for an extra 5 months.
Sorry, had to get that off my chest. Movies can be so dumb at times. It seems that no one is paying attention to the little things anymore.
