08/25/02 08:40 PM: My Weekend

Hey. I notice that no one else greets our wonderful readers, and I thought about following suit, but I’d feel wierd. Anyways, my title is called my weekend, so I suppose I’ll talk about that since there wasn’t much in the way of news to talk about. This was the first full weekend of the year, and it concluded Welcome Week.

Friday, my advisor took us out to dinner at a local greek place. I think my group got hooked up, because she, paid for it all. All we had to do was dance. We then went ice skating and retired to watch the greatest movie of all time, Office Space. Saturday was the Jamaican Jam. We had a reggae band. It would have felt more like a reggae concert if there was more weed and more Marley, but there were police around. It concluded the welcome week, and I’m pretty glad about that. Today I had to call my parents. Boy, was that fun. They still make me mad, even when they are 500 miles away. Amazing.

I actually think I’m gonna be studying here. For those of you who know me, that might come as a shocker, but everyone here is serious about their grades. No one else wants to play, so there really is nothing to do but study.

I’d like to put a link somewhere for people, but there really isn’t much in the way of content. Sorry. How about this one. I was talking to my sister today and she was saying how she just loved the book, Atlas Shrugged. Read it. Its a great book, even if you don’t subsribe to objectivism.
