09/09/03 12:18 PM: Quick update from work

Indeed I am still alive and kicking here in Washington, despite rumors of the contrary. While I have been keeping myself busy, I felt I should probably continue to update the site as to not lose the dedicated readership that I have built over the past two and a half years.

So what is new? Well, I have been keeping myself busy with class and work. In fact, I am at work right now. On a nice 733Mhz G4 workstation. I love my job, actually, and I again have to thank Matt Mauney for letting me know about the position. In any case, between the 14 hours I work, the 12 hours of class, and my duties at The Voice, I haven’t had too much time to spare. I hope you understand!

Though, I did recently see Howard Dean at the University of Maryland-College Park. I took photos, which can be seen here. I used one of them as an entry on the photolog, but there are many others. I used a Nikon Coolpix 5700 to take them, and I was at least 250+ yards away from the podium. I was impressed by the performance of that camera, espcially with th digital zoom.

I am coming back to Chicago in 10 days. I am very excited about this, so excited in fact I can barely stand it. Not to mention, today marks one month until Columbus Day, when I return home again. That day also marks a Death Cab for Cutie concert at the Metro. But, of course, that’s not the primary reason why I am coming home!

Tomorrow marks the two-year anniversary of September 11. Again I direct you to the September 11 Tributes located right here at WWU. The world has changed a lot since then, and mostly not for the better. So it goes, I suppose.

I must now return to work.
