Roe v. Bush?
President Bush, a self-described unifier, has stated that he will not try to overturn Roe v. Wade. It doesn’t appear that he will anytime soon, as it would be a great folly considering his tenuous claim to the throne. If he keeps his word, then American women should not have to worry about their ability to choose being impinged upon. Since Bush can’t work from the inside out, he’s working from the outside in. He has banned U.S. aid to international organizations that provide family planning services and abortion information/counseling. The saddest thing about this is that this will mainly affect third world countries where overpopulation is such a tremendous problem. That’s not to say that abortion is the solution. Prevention is the solution. And prevention will only occur through education. Cutting off aid will simply compound the problem. I guess that’s compassionate conservatism for you.
