I would just like to say that The Royal Tenenbaums sucks. I don’t know, perhaps I’m just turning into a groundling, but I found it to be quite boring. I’m not a big fan of action movies or anything. I’d probably be more inclined to like something like this, but I just couldn’t take it. What was it supposed to be anyway? There were a few moderately funny parts, but not nearly enough to be a comedy. It had kind of a sad/depressing quality to it, but it still wasn’t really strong enough for it to be a tragedy or drama or anything. It was right in the middle, not far close enough to either side to make any sense or hold my interest. It kept seeming like it was building up to something, but nothing ever happened. Oh well, what’s $8.25 and 103 minutes of my life?

Actually, I was supposed to go see Brotherhood of the Wolf. We had a group of ten people. Five or six of us bought tickets, and then it sold out. So we stood around for about half an hour waiting for someone to decide upon a course of action. It didn’t really matter to me since I had never heard of any of the movies playing anyway. Finally we decided to see The Royal Tenenbaums. So we had to get back in line, and those of us who had already gotten tickets had to exchange them. And then the movie was terrible. What a night.
