My name is Sean Powers and I am currently a senior at Homewood-Flossmoor High School, which technically makes me the youngest writer for WWU. Next fall I will be studying broadcast-journalism at the University of Missouri-Columbia (Mizzou). My main interest in life is broadcasting and journalism. At my high school, I am the Station Manager/Webmaster of our 1500-watt student-run radio station WHFH 88.5FM. I am also the Internet Editor and staff writer for our newspaper The Voyager.
On WHFH, I host a weekly news show called Close Up. For Close Up, I have produced an array of program ranging from radio plays, to documentaries, to political specials, etc. I am hoping to get an internship this summer with Chicago Public Radio (WBEZ).
Outside of my busy life in broadcasting and journalism, I enjoy jogging, reading, writing, web design, and spending time with friends and my girlfriend Stacy.
