So I got my learner’s permit yesterday. And I drove home from school today. Go me. I also got another letter to the editor in the paper yesterday. Two people actually mentioned it today. Is this what it feels like to be famous?
I’ve finally started my history research paper. I think it was assigned about two months ago. You know how that goes. . . . At any rate, I think I have a good attention-grabbing first paragraph. It doesn’t really explain much, but it should be enough to make the reader wish to continue:
Imagine having to work a second job because you cannot live on the paltry wages garnered by your primary mode of employment. Imagine that your only available option is to drive a taxi. Imagine that your only available option is to drive a taxi in a poor section of a crowded, bustling, urban metropolis. Imagine that your only option is to do so late at night.
