06/21/01 11:18 PM: Chicken Run

So, Chicken Run! I watched the movie Chicken Run today. It was a claymation movie by the same people who make Wallace and Gromit. I loved Chicken Run. It was great, and I recommend it to anyone if you are looking for a fun movie to watch. It wasn’t too long (1 Hour, 23 Minutes), and it had it all: drama, suspense, comedy, and claymation. Yeah, I like claymation. Not really the Gumby kind of claymation, but the Wallace and Gromit kind of claymation. Some may say that it is a kids movie, or whatever, but I argue otherwise. We need more movies like Chicken Run. It was fun, not really violent, and I had an all around good time watching it. Too bad movies in the theatre, such as this “Tomb Raider” nonsense were even a fraction as good as Chicken Run. The rooster who always talked about his RAF days, not THAT was funny.

Onto other things, I find myself arguing an uphill battle. I’ve begun to despise Indymedia because some people there believe anything that doesn’t help the left should be censored, and not just the left, but also the “transforming of society into a labor based class structure” or some such nonsense. I guess I don’t have it in me to support that kind of stuff. The people there are all nice and such, and I think they do want to help people, but I just really don’t like Communism/Socialism/Whateverism they want. I don’t think the Media should be a tool of a political movement, either left, right, or in between. While the FOX News network has 1.28×10^23 things wrong with it, their slogan “We report, you decide” makes since. Not, “we report what we want you to hear.” How is Indymedia any better than the “corporate media” they are rebelling against. Just my two cents.
