So, it is another Saturday night here in the suburbs of Chicago. What am I doing tonight, you ask? Well I am actually headed down to the loop [Downtown Chicago, for those of you who are uninformed], and I will be attending a fundraiser for the Chicago Independent Media Center. It might be fun, I really don’t know, but I thought I might as well go… you know.
So yesterday I was at a local Barnes and Noble and I bought, Rogue States: The Rule of Force in World Affairs by Noam Chomsky. I haven’t had time to really start reading it, but I think it will be interesting. I also stopped by a local bookstore in my town and bought Walden and “On the Duties of Civil Disobediance” by Thoreau. We had talked about this breifly in my AP American History class, but I thought I might as well read it, of course when I get around to it. In theory I am still trying to finish Atlas Shrugged, like that is every really going to happen though…
