Speaking of tickets and capitalism…
Hey Ticketmaster,
FUCK OFF.
I mean, really, I’ve come to expect ticketmaster to rip me off. But aren’t they getting just a tad too greedy? I wished to purchase two tickets to the Warped Tour. They are $24 each. The “Ticketmaster Convenience Charge per ticket” is $7.70. Outrageous, but what are you gonna do? But it doesn’t end there. The “building facility charge” is $3.00 per ticket. Excuse me, but WHAT is a building facility charge? And, of course, the $3.50 Ticketmaster handling fee. So, it comes to a grand total of $72.90, $24.90 more than the face value of the tickets. Basically, I would have paid for three tickets but only gotten two. I figured I’ll just wait in line for an hour and pay a reasonable price when I get there. It’s the principle of the thing! Ticketmaster must have at least as good a market share in the ticketing business as Microsoft does in computer stuff.
