So, once again I have been told I should update the site. I agree, as I have before promised to update, and often I do not follow through on such promises.
Today was the last day of classes, for me that only meant going to one class, though. On one hand, I’m glad that class is over with, and that summer is almost here. On the other hand, I’m amazed at how fast it all went by. I know that sounds trite and cliched, but it’s true. I really don’t know how it went by so fast.
Anyway, let’s talk about The West Wing. On Sunday, they filmed what I believe will be the season finale here at Georgetown. The portion of the episode filmed here was Zoey’s (The president’s daughter) graduation from Georgetown. I got to participate in this, by being one of the people in the hypothetical graduating class. It’s a fairly short scene, though we spent about six hours shooting it. It was an interesting experience, but one I would probably never do again. All in all we were treated pretty poorly by the crew organizers, I suppose because we weren’t SAG members.
However, I have to say that Martin Sheen is quite a cool guy. He came over and chatted with some of us for about ten minutes, and seemed pretty down to earth. I know a lot of people have issues with his political leanings, but all in all I liked the guy. He joked around a lot on the set, and went and took photos with some onlookers and signed autographs.
Josh Malina (Will Bailey) was also there, and he was again friendly with all of us and the onlookers. I watched him spend a good half hour talking with people and taking pictures with them. He even grabbed some random person’s cell phone and started talking to the person on the other end.
I briefly saw Richard Schiff (Toby Ziegler), but then he disappeared into a tent. He sort of reminded me a lot of Toby’s character.
Obviously, Zoey was there (Elisabeth Moss), and she just sort of seemed like the normal actress. Of course, it’s not like I know a lot of actresses to make a comparison with, but hey.
Since it is my favorite show on TV, I think it was worth the 6 hours in a hot graduation gown in the sun. The episode should air May 14, I believe.
What else is new? Well, I have recently decided to make my life more complicated, for whatever reason. Yeah, I’m not really going to go into it anymore here, and anyone who knows what this is about already knows—and those who don’t, well don’t. Oh well, I figure I had to do something…
In any case, tomorrow is the Voice/Hoya softball game. This is where we play a softball game against the other paper, The Hoya. It should be interesting.
I need to get away from the computer for a bit now, though.
