The downfall of American society
The debut of the new XFL yesterday night is just another sign of the decline of American culture. What really gets me about the XFL more than say, the WWF, is that Jesse Ventura is going to be a sportscaster for it. I am confused, isn’t he Governor of Minnesota? I guess he is only governor when he doesn’t have any more exciting to be doing. The people in Minnesota seem to have just as much, if not more, reason to demand their governor to resign than we do in Illinois. What is happening? You know, this is what happened in Rome, you can see it with the progression of violence with the whole “Gladiator” thing. (I’m talking historically, not the movie). Anyway, what does this all mean? I have no idea, but I’m upset about it. How can the President expect to get anywhere with his armies of compassion, when millions of Americans are tuning in to watch people violently beat eachother, either to get a ball to one end of a field, or for whatever reason they do in “Professional” wrestling.
I was also thinking of the missle defense problem some more. Have you heard about those programs where the police buys back guns from people, or like the toys for guns. Why not offer a “food for nuclear warheads” type deal with Russia and the other countries that have nuclear weapons. Or with India, “Earthquake relief for warheads.” Just a suggestion.
