03/03/02 12:07 PM: Things to do

Well, I have studying to do today, but before I embark on that task I thought I would update. I am considering beginning work on a full redesign of the site. This would also include some reworking of the navigation system most likely, but the backend will remain powered by Greymatter for the time being. I am somewhat inspired by Paul’s redesign, but we will see what it results in. On one hand, I like the minimalist approach I took to the current design, but then I see things like this that use color and such and are just great looking designs. I don’t know, maybe I can come up with something that draws from both… we will see.

Last night, I played in a Counter-Strike match between the members of the HomeLAN Alliance and the Federation. For anyone who knows what HomeLAN is, then this would make sense, for those who don’t I will explain. I am a member of the HomeLAN Alliance, my nickname there is [HA] Roark. Anyway, the Alliance is a group of people who play online games often and want to have some kind of structure to their gameplay, along with the chance to advance and perhaps one day become an administrator on the very large HomeLAN network of gaming servers. Now, the Federation is made up of the Admins, and every now and then the Federation plays the Alliance as a little bit of an internal contest and such. Well, the Alliance got pretty much hammered by the Fed this time, however I didn’t do all that bad in the second round, as this shot attests. Perhaps next time around we will have better luck.

Anyway, I do have studying to do, and some reading of Walt Whitman, good times.
