10/13/03 11:55 AM: Toga! Toga! Toga!

I’m sick of studying, so I guess I should update. Man, college is sweet. I’ve probably said that before, and I will say it again. College is sweet. You know why? Because you can’t throw a good toga party anywhere else. I’m talking about a good old fashioned, fratastic, drunken, animal house type toga party. Theres just something about being in bedsheets that feels so cool. And everyone is doing it, so no one looks like an idiot. Nowhere else can you go to an 80’s Dance Party when they kick you out of the hall. Wandering the streets of Omaha in bedsheets and soccer shorts definitely puts a new spin on crazy nights.

The next night, I decided that I was too tired to go out. Instead I watched “The Real Cancun” and got some pretty cool quotes. Some of the favorites are “Anyone wanna make out or something” and “Man, I just want to see some boobies.” Again, something you can do only in college. Well, you could probably watch the movie anywhere, but actually using those quotes in the hopes of them maybe working. Its gotta be college. I guess I was right on the tired thing, because I ended up sleeping until 3:45 the next day. 14 hours of sleep can make anyone feel refreshed, that is, until they realize that they have midterms and studying to do.

Some people sleep until 3:45, and some run a marathon on a gorgeous Sunday morning. My old Physics (or should I say Fizax) teacher, and a good friend decided to do the latter. Props to Old Man McCarthy and Corey for doing something with their lives that most could only dream of.

And with that, I am back to studying Accounting and Astronomy.

Comments made.

  1. Yes, midterms suck.

  2. Just thought of something after the post. Anyone going to be in the Homewood area next week? I got fall break and need drinking buddies. Leave one if you’re game.

  3. bah, you and fall break.

  4. You’re just jealous. Besides, its not gonna be fun. No one is home. I’m thinking road trip though. That might put a little spice in my life.

  5. mmhmm, perhaps. But I was home this weekend and it was great, so, yeah.

  6. I forgot to tell you I’m actually gonna be in Homewood from the 24th-26th. I think I’m doing the Great America thing on the 25th. Other than that, I’m free. Then, it’s JASON MRAZ time on the 28th—-yeah that was a shameless plug…mwhaha.

  7. mmhmm Jason Mraz. Maybe if he didn’t sport the trucker hat I’d like him a bit more…

  8. Awww, come on Dave the trucker hat just adds to his wonderfully-quirky appeal…but if you don’t feel it, I at least hope you can appreciate his voice. He’s an awesome musician…plus he’s amazing live.

  9. Well, i suppose he does manage to pull off the whole quirky image, which could be considered an exception to my whole “no trucker hat” policy. (That is, unless you are really a trucker, or have at least driven a truck in the past).

As far as his music goes, he’s not bad—I think he probably has a lot of potential.

  10. My life goal is to be a trucker.
