Tomorrows I have to awake at around 6:00 AM for a speech tournament. My event is Extemporaneous Speaking (Extemp). Supposedly it is considered one of the hardest speech events. (Yay!). Basically, you are given a choice of three topics, you select one, and in the next 30 minutes, write a 5-7 minute speech. This is the first time I will be doing extemp, but with my political knowledge from broadcasting, I think/hope I can do well.
Sunday I leave for Philadelphia to visit the University of Pennsylvania. I will also be visiting a few other schools on the east coast that week. I believe the hotels I will be at have “data ports,” if I can interface my laptop onto said port, I will try to post.
Wow, I didn’t know that 87.6% of the United States Congress was up for election in 2002. It will be an interesting election!
