We broke 100 pageviews today. Nice!
I realized I never posted my essay that won the $150. I’ll do that tomorrow or something. Converting a Word document to XHTML is not exactly a fun process. Especially not at 1:30 AM. So I did some reading today for Humanites class and for AP Econ. I think I am really going to enjoy Econ, as lame as that sounds. I have an interest in economics, and social economic systems, and a large part of the class will be studying that. I mean, over the summer I did read Capitalism: The Unknown Ideal by Ayn Rand. (Actually, it’s a collection of assorted essays, I recommend it). An optional project to do is to go down to the Chicago Mercantile Exchange for a Pit Trading lesson. When can I sign up? And, no, I am not being sarcastic.
So, I am debating a few things. Some colleges accept the ACT or the SAT I and three SAT IIs. That means, I could send my ACT score and NOT those other four scores. If I have a 34 on the ACT, would you recommend sending that in lieu of the others, or to still take the SAT IIs and send those? Gah. Also, I’m not planning on majoring in engineering, so would you think it’s necessary to take the Math IIC test? Or should I go for it anyway, I mean I am taking AP Calc BC. Advise me!
For those who have no idea as to what I was just ranting about, you are either out of college and somewhat-old, or you didn’t attend college and was oblivous to the standardized tests, or more likely you are still a Junior or lower in High School. Oh, you will learn about all of these tests. Believe you me, the PSAT is only the beginning. ONLY THE BEGINNING.
Ok enough ranting. So, the singer Aaliyah was killed in a plane crash. “R&B singer and actress Aaliyah died Saturday when a small plane that was to carry her and eight others back to the United States crashed after takeoff in the Bahamas.” Always those small planes, you know? JFK Jr., Buddy Holly, the Big Bopper, Ritchie Valens, and countless others. Can these people not fly on larger planes? Or at least jets? But then there was Payne Stewart. Oh well.
After years of waiting
Nothing came
And you realize your looking, looking in the wrong place
