12/11/01 09:27 PM: Clear liquids

Well folks, tomorrow marks the day where I cannot eat any solid foods. Yay to clear liquid diets! Actually, the nagging question has been, why must life suck? I realize that is a rather crude way of putting it, and I realize that there are millions of people who have it worse off than I, but still, why does life suck?. Why must the doctor “take a look” with his “small” fiber-optic “camera.” I’m scared though, because 1/500 people who have the exam have to have an operation to fix the mistakes the doctors made while in there with the camera. I really, really, really, really, REALLY hope they don’t fuck anything up.

So what did I miss while I was gone from school for so long? I think this is most of what I need to do:

Econ: 2 Chapter Quizzes

Psych: 2 Chapter Tests, 1 Quiz, 1 Research Paper

Math: 1 Chapter Test

Physics: 1 Worksheet and 1 Lab

Humanities: 2 Worksheets, a Quiz on Philosophers, and a paper on Baroque Art

Fun Fun Fun! Plus I still have to send off my Harvard, Yale, UPenn, and GWU applications. I’m giving out the teacher recs tommorow and Friday. I want to get them all out tommorow in case I am not at school on Friday.

There are a lot of books I want to read. I buy them but never have any time to read them. I started on Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance, but I’m only now on page 100. Here is a list of what I want to read:

Catch 22

All the Lord of the Rings books

The new biography, John Adams.

Founding Brothers (I don’t even own this one)

1984 (I read this one back in 8th grade or so, but I want to re-read it)

Many, Many More.

Well, I need to get some sleep, because tommorow, like the rest of the past 15 or so days, will most likely suck, and Thursday will be the worst of all.
