11/16/01 08:06 PM: Team Projects

Well just a brief update. I went on a co-op job interview today at MIT Lincoln Laboratories in Lexington, Massachusetts. I was supposed to interview for 3 positions, but I basically interviewed for two and the third the guy basically indicated that they allready had who they were looking for. I think overall the two interviews that I had went fairly well. They were mostly helpdesk type things but with other additional tasks such as a migration of Windows 95 boxes to Windows 2000 or web development in HTML/Perl. Overall either would not be bad. To work at the Labs, i would need to get a DoD Secret security clearance but they didnt seem to think that would be much of a problem. The best news is that i would get a spiffy ID card to get me in and out. Basically they are a government contracted Lab for use of technology in national security. Neat stuff. I also have an interview on Tuesday at 10:00am at a venture capitol firm for some type of network administration position. Hopefully that will go okay as well. I am not crazy about the whole interview process, but lets face it, who is. All I hope is that I will end up with a job for the 6 month January-June time period.

Additionally, I hate team projects when people just don’t seem to want to try to work with you. I value my grade in the course (Introduction to Marketing) and want to do well on the presentation that we have to do, but one of the members in the group just doesnt seem to be with it. There’s always one. Oh well. My little rant for the day.
