Why I fear SDI…

As we all know, recently the United States has been working on creating a missle defense shield. Now the military wants the public to think its to protect us against “rougue nations” that might fire against us. But the thing is, it created another problem. Say for example they get a shield working on a small scale, which fits their plan against “rogue states.” But of course, we won’t stop there. Next thing you know, we will be building one that can protect the entire nation against a full scale nuclear attack. How will that make the Russians feel? We did sort of sign a treaty a while ago saying we would not build anti-missle shields, but I guess that won’t count anymore. Russia sees us as about to become invulnerable from any attack, so what would prevent the U.S. from launching against someone. Well hopefully they would think we would not become insane and want to start a world war just “for the heck of it” but hey, its not out of the question, I mean look at the War of 1812. Anyway, so why wouldn’t Russia just attack us while we are building it, if you look at it, they basically would think they have nothing to lose. Instead of building defenses against missles, why not work to make it so we don’t have to fear missiles in the first place. Oh I know, thats impossible and not worth even trying, right? I say thats wrong. For gods sake come on now. The trillions we would spend on SDI could do good perhaps forging better alliances and helping out the people who wanting to supposedly fire on us in the first place.

What ever we do, we cannot allow some full scale missle shield to be built..
